How it started

A personal need

In 2019, a twist of fate shook the world of close friends. With a non-profit, we set out to raise money to support others facing a similar challenge. We wanted to connect different generations and locations in one captivating experience through the power of sports, but came to the conclusion that there was no suitable solution available.

A platform solution

So we created our own platform, on which people from all over the world can participate, by simply connecting a sports app, by working out (outdoors, with real sweat) and by raising money. To make it more attractive and to boost the fundraising incentive, we added different layers of gamification. Our objective was raising about €10.000, but after 3 events of a week, we had welcomed over 800 participants and 13 companies in 9 countries, and had raised over €175.000.

Our mission

After receiving requests from other non-profits, companies and the King Baudouin Foundation, we realized many other organisations could benefit from what we had built.

With the partnership of the King Baudouin Foundation, Cause U Can has become much more than just a project - it's our way of making a difference. And we're excited to keep going!
